Arlington High School lot * Parade Start: 6:30pm
- Floats/vehicles only. There are no walkers in this parade without special approval from Director.
- This is a family-friendly, NON-POLITICAL event. All parade entries must conform to this standard. No political signs or flags, etc. are allowed. Campaigning for ANY cause is not permitted. This is a Holiday Parade with “fun” as the only purpose.
Someone MUST stay with vehicle/entry at all times. Do not leave entries unattended.
- Every participant is required to incorporate lighting into their entry. Music is also encouraged!
- No objects may be thrown, sprayed or distributed along the parade route.
- No Santa Claus imitations permitted. There is only ONE official Santa Claus as the last entry in the parade.
- Only commercial entries may include commercial advertising or signage promoting a for-profit business.
- No headlights. This parade is about creative lighting. Bright headlights or floodlights can ruin the effect.
- No animals. No weapon (fake or real). No open flames.
- No smoking or vaping, alcoholic beverages, or drugs on any parade entries during parade or in AHS lot.
- No loud noises—horns, sirens, loud motors.
- Arms and legs must be kept within the float. No extremities can hang off the float.
- If your entry is not in formation 30 minutes prior to the start of the parade, you will be denied entry.
- This is a forward movement parade. No stopping or reversing direction along the parade route.
- You must maintain 20 feet between your entry and the one in front of you to ensure the pace of the parade.
- The P&R Director may refuse or remove any entry, which, in their opinion, does not conform to parade rules.
- All entries must be of a “Holiday Theme
